How to measure head circumference with or without a tape measure?

Measuring the circumference of your head is a simple process. You can do it with a tape measure or, if you don't have one, with a piece of string or a piece of cord that doesn't stretch. If you use a piece of string, make sure it's long enough to go around your head.

To take the measurement, place the measuring tape or string in the centre of your forehead, approximately 1 cm above your eyebrows. Then, wrap the tape or string around your head, bringing it towards the back, at the widest part of your head.

Once you have circled your head, record the length obtained using a ruler or a rigid measuring tape. This measurement, expressed in centimeters, will allow you to choose a perfectly fitting hat.
